Publishers and authors have provided special permission for book use as we are supporting learning at home for students.

Clink on the following links to publishers and authors. The links will provide book choices, permissions and guidelines to follow for online read-alouds

  • released this list of guidelines for Online Reading During the Coronavirus. 
  • - email name, city and state, name of secure platform, book title and author to (updated March 23, 2020)
  • has shared these guidelines for authors, illustrators, and educators regarding online read-alouds.
  •  and Media group released its guidelines to allow online read-alouds through the end of June. (updated March 24, 2020)
  • , at this time, has not released general fair use guidelines for its titles and is requesting that teachers & librarians fill out this online form to request permissions.
  • has published this book sharing permission statement for educators.
  • Content Use Guidelines for Teachers, Librarians, and Parents.
  • Open License for Online Storytime, Classroom Read-Alouds, and Live Events.
  • has released these Online Book Reading Guidelines for Spring 2020. 

Books chosen for book talks do not require any additional permission or guidelines from publisher
